Welcome to UH Manoa! Congrats with all the transitions you guys have been making recently- from graduating high school, preparing for college, and (finally!) making it to summer! My name is Christy, and me, along with our other great Peer Mentors, will be helping you transition to UH this coming Fall!

Starting life in a whole new environment can be intimidating- but I know a thing or two about adjusting to new situations, and trust me, I’ve been in the same boat! To explain, I’ll share a little bit about myself- I was born and grew up on Oahu, then lived in three states on the mainland- all before high school. I went to Waiakea High on the Big Island, and since then have been enrolled at the University of San Diego, UH Manoa, and recently came back from the study abroad program Semester at Sea- Whew!

UH Manoa is where I’ve finally settled down and I couldn’t be happier. I have great classes, excellent friends, and just about everyone on campus is friendly and helpful if you return the favor!

I’m a senior majoring in Political Science with a certificate in Peace Studies. Also, I work at the Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising Center on campus, where many of my coworkers raved about the ACE program and encouraged me to take part and be a Peer Mentor, so here I am! I’m way excited to be part of ACE and hope you guys are just as stoked!
